Premiere Majestic Floor Covering Golf Tournament to Benefit Victory Junction Raises $54,334.48
The Premiere Majestic Floor Covering Golf Tournament, led by Mike Key, raised $54,334.48 for Victory Junction held Friday, October 13, 2017. While this may not seem like a huge feat at first glance, the event was organized from start to finish in only eight weeks.
“I’ve been in the golfing business for 22 years,” said Brandon Turner, Pinewood Country Club’s Head Golf Professional. “In all that time I have never seen a tournament raise $50,000 in such a short amount of time.
The one-day event included a hole-in-one contest for a 2017 Chevrolet Sonic, a second hole-in-one contest for $10,000, the ability to use an AR-15 golf ball launcher on one of the par 5 holes and a silent auction held at Tot Hill Farm Golf. The top auction items were a 2-night stay at Baymont Inn in Wilmington and a collection of Richard Petty sponsored Hot Wheel cars encased in a plexiglass case autographed by the legendary NASCAR driver.
Majestic Floor Covering Golf Tournament to Benefit Victory Junction hosted more than 150 golfers at two golf courses: Tot Hill Farm Golf Club and Pinewood Country Club. The winning team at Pinewood Country Club (Ryan Hutchins, David Michaels, Billy Crawford and DJ Johnson) received trophies and golf passes to an area golf courses. The winning team at Tot Hill Farm Golf Club (Jeremy Campbell, Curtis Brotherton, Ricky Vaughn and Matt Deitz) also received trophies and golf passes to area golf courses.
“We are truly blessed. The generosity of our guests is absolutely amazing. The support of all of our sponsors and the dedication of all our volunteers is what makes this event such a success,” said Mike Key. “We feel fortunate to be able to make this large contribution to Victory Junction.”
“The Majestic team put together an incredible first class event in a very short period of time,” said Chad Coltrane, Victory Junction’s CEO. “Most importantly, at least 20 children will be able to experience a life changing camping experience at Victory Junction because of their efforts. Thank you to the Majestic team and the community for the support of this event.”
